Former Pendulum Vocalist Ben Mount Battles Leukemia with Overwhelming Support

Benjamin “Verse” Mount, former MC and vocalist of Pendulum, is courageously facing acute monoblastic leukemia after recovering from a life-threatening infection. A GoFundMe campaign launched by his brother Jeremy has brought together fans, friends, and family to support Mount through this challenging time.

Health Crisis Unfolds

Mount’s health struggles began in August with a persistent and unexplained cough. Initially misdiagnosed as tuberculosis while hospitalized in Spain, he was later found to have a rare and aggressive infection. This led to a medically induced coma and an urgent effort by international medical teams to combat the superbug. After months of intense treatment, Mount overcame the infection but faced a new diagnosis of acute monoblastic leukemia in September.

Fundraiser Surpasses Expectations

The GoFundMe campaign, initially set with a goal of £20,000, has now exceeded £58,000 thanks to widespread support. The funds are essential for Mount’s recovery, covering costs for nursing care, mobility solutions, and childcare for his two young daughters as he continues chemotherapy treatment.

A Musical Spirit Unbroken

Despite his health challenges, Mount remains creatively active. Since leaving Pendulum in 2017 to focus on his solo career, he has been producing music, with his latest track, “Recovery,” featuring Youngsta and Cimm, released in December 2024. The song symbolizes his resilience and determination to overcome adversity.

Join the Cause

Mount’s journey inspires fans and supporters worldwide to rally behind him. Donations to his GoFundMe campaign help alleviate the financial burden on his family and contribute to his road to recovery.
