Ministry of Sound Turns 34 with Armand Van Helden After Another Landmark Year in London

This October, Ministry of Sound celebrates 34 years of club culture in London, welcoming legendary New York house producer Armand Van Helden for a special birthday event. The four-room celebration will also feature rising stars Olive F and Paisley Jensen, with more artists set to be announced soon.

Recognized globally as a cornerstone of electronic music, Ministry of Sound continues to set the standard for nightlife, honoring the millions of clubbers who have passed through its doors over more than three decades.

“We’re thrilled to welcome house music legend Armand Van Helden alongside Olive F and Paisley as we celebrate 34 years of the club. 2025 has been pivotal for us, with exciting brand collaborations and the launch of our No Velvet Rope Society, redefining VIP experiences. And we’re just getting started—big plans are already underway for 2026, including refurbishing the iconic Box room and expanding our global presence.” – Matt Long, Club Director

Ministry of Sound’s Groundbreaking Year

The year 2025 began with the launch of three new in-house brands:

  • Smoove – a UKG, funky, and R&B night
  • URGE – stripped-back tech house featuring Matthias Tanzmann, Cuartero, Blondi, and Brisotti
  • Disco Daddy – hosting legends like Derrick Carter and Dimitri From Paris

During the summer, Ministry completed a major renovation of the NVR space, the first in over a decade. The redesign created an open mezzanine overlooking the iconic Box room, renowned for its Martin Audio sound system. The new No Velvet Rope Society membership concept reimagines VIP access for the next generation of clubbers.

In response to evolving nightlife trends, Ministry also introduced sober raving experiences, featuring a curated mocktail menu, low-alcohol beers, and CBD-based serves.

One of the most talked-about events of the year was the Toilet Takeover in April, a secret rave in the women’s toilets in partnership with Lab54. The video went viral, amassing over 20 million views across social media platforms.
