Brooklyn-Based DJ & Producer Saqib Unveils Latest Single ‘So Cold, So Sweet’
Saqib, a talented DJ and producer hailing from Brooklyn, has just released his newest single titled ‘So Cold, So Sweet’. The track, expertly mastered by Jay Tripwire, is now available for free download on Saqib’s personal SoundCloud page.
‘So Cold, So Sweet’ was created in March 2020 during the initial stages of the New York lockdown, making it Saqib’s first production while in isolation. The song draws inspiration from the American jazz standard ‘St. James Infirmary Blues’, which has an unclear origin.
According to Saqib, “The song has various interpretations, but in essence, it tells the story of a soldier who returns from war only to find his lover in the infirmary – so cold, so sweet, and so pale… To discover the rest of the story, you’ll have to give it a listen.”
