Los Hubibis: When Love, Code, and Sound Collide

LOS HUBIBIS

At the intersection of groove and innovation sits Los Hubibis — a Swiss–Canadian duo redefining the boundaries of electronic music. Their genre-fluid sound — spanning deep house, melodic techno, and tribal — is emotionally driven and technically profound. But behind every track lies something more: intention.

Having recently released June in Retrograde on Cafe De Anatolia, the duo is gaining attention not only for their sonic textures but also for the way they build music like emotional architecture. Their process is fluid: Vince lays down the melodic core, Gaspard anchors the percussion and polyrhythms. Yet their true power lies in trust — a back-and-forth that tears tracks down to rebuild something unexpected.

What makes their workflow truly unique, however, is their open-source philosophy. Beyond DJing and production, they’re developing tools designed to democratize creativity. Their upcoming plugin — set to launch alongside their next EP — is meant to eliminate friction in the music-making process, helping both beginners and pros flow more intuitively.

Their musical journey started on a vacation to Palma, where they skipped the beach to hole up in a hotel room, producing their first track. Since then, they’ve traveled across continents with their work, letting their art evolve with their personal growth.

“Every sound has a reason to be there,” they say. And that logic extends to their tech. They don’t just want people to hear their music — they want them to feel empowered to make their own.

From myth-inspired compositions to next-gen production tools, Los Hubibis are building more than music — they’re building a movement where feeling meets function, and art becomes open source.
