Progressive Journeys: U.V & Berko Bring Oriental Energy to the TechnoHouse Scene

Artist 1: U.V
Artist 2: Berko

When two worlds collide, something special happens. That’s exactly the case with U.V (Yuval Tevel) and Berko (Shai Berkovich) — two Tel Aviv–based artists who are reshaping the boundaries of electronic music. Their latest collaboration, released with Café De Anatolia, fuses the raw pulse of progressive house with oriental and Balkan influences, delivering a sound that feels both modern and timeless.

From Clubs to Creation

For U.V., the journey began in childhood, with a guitar in hand and flamenco rhythms in his ears. Years later, DJing parties and festivals became his life — until an injury forced him to step back in 2020. That moment sparked a creative rebirth: the birth of U.V as a producer and storyteller, determined to transform experiences into soundscapes.

Berko, on the other hand, started with the saxophone in school. A lifelong multi-instrumentalist, his performances took him around the globe. But it wasn’t until seeing Polo & Pan live that he found his calling — electronic music, infused with the breath and sweat of live instruments. “Music literally saved my life,” Berko says, recalling how playing cured his asthma attacks as a child.

The Fusion: Three Worlds, One Track

Their collaboration with Grotes wasn’t planned. “Worst case, we’ll have fun,” recalls U.V. But what emerged was more than fun — it was a progressive house journey with oriental wind instruments and live energy.

Berko’s saxophone and zurna added depth and emotion to U.V.’s driving beats, while Grotes’ input gave the track structure and atmosphere. The result: a cultural mosaic of sound that bridges borders and genres.

The TechnoHouse Connection

For TechnoHouse fans, what makes this release stand out is the balance it strikes: club-ready drops, festival energy, and hypnotic layers that keep dancers locked in. It’s progressive house, but not in the formulaic sense — every note feels lived, every layer tells a story.

U.V. describes his sound as “warm, oriental, and progressive — a journey rather than a single track.” Berko calls his music “emotional, groovy, and borderless.” Together, their synergy speaks to the new wave of house music where live performance meets digital innovation.

Looking Ahead

Both artists have ambitious plans. U.V is preparing a new EP blending storytelling and global influences, while Berko is diving into collaborations that mix electronic beats with oriental instruments. And with Café De Anatolia backing their latest work, the duo is set to push further into international stages and the underground club scene.

Their message is simple but powerful: electronic music is more than sound — it’s emotion, culture, and connection.
