Instagram has introduced a new feature that makes sharing music with friends easier than ever. Users can now send 30-second music previews directly in private messages, enhancing music discovery within the app.
How It Works
To share a song, open a conversation, tap the sticker button, and select “Music.” You can then browse Instagram’s audio library and pick a track. Once sent, the recipient will see a preview with a spinning vinyl animation and can play or pause the clip instantly.
Why It Matters
With social media playing a major role in music discovery, this update offers EDM fans a seamless way to share tracks without leaving Instagram. The feature is available globally on both iOS and Android.
Expanding Instagram’s Music Tools
This update builds on Instagram’s recent music-sharing advancements. In October, the platform partnered with Spotify, enabling users to save songs directly to their Spotify library. Additionally, Instagram introduced multi-track audio for Reels in July.
