Chasing the “Mirage”
His latest release, “Mirage,” serves as a sonic thesis for his current artistic direction. Inspired by the concept of a Fata Morgana, the track explores the tension between the illusions we chase in life and the reality of the present moment.
“I wanted to translate that feeling into sound: the tension between longing and clarity,” Schmidt says. Interestingly, the track’s core identity was born from indecision. Unable to choose between two distinct basslines, Schmidt realized the contrast was the story. By weaving both into the production, he created a shifting perspective that mirrors the fluid nature of a mirage itself.

A key pillar of Schmidt’s current trajectory is his collaboration with the renowned label Cafe De Anatolia.
